Shared, Dedicated & SEO IPs
"Shared hosting" means that many domains are
hosted using one IP address and/or server (also called "virtual
hosting"). Shared IP hosting is the most cost-efficient
method to host web sites.
However, shared IPs have a (very slim) change of getting
blacklisted by unauthorized spam activities by other users
sharing the same "Shared IP". A "Dedicated
IP" address will guarantee exclusive use of that address,
thus, maximizing uptime and delivery performance.
Furthermore, SSL certificates (secure web pages, online
shopping carts etc...) require a dedicated IP address.
SEO IPs are IP addresses, that are guaranteed to be issued
in different Class C allocations: such as: 111.111.111.111,
111.111.222.111.
